Let me tell you about myself
I am Prof. MV Rajeev Gowda and I am the Congress Candidate from Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency. I hope you will allow me to serve you as your representative in Parliament. I was a Rajya Sabha MP from June 2014 to 25th June 2020 during which time I worked tirelessly to put the welfare of the people of Karnataka front and centre. I am sincerely committed to the advocacy of issues that impact citizens.
Bengaluru North MP Candidate
Friends, I am honoured to present myself as a candidate for the upcoming elections, seeking to represent our vibrant constituency. We work to make a real difference in the lives of all citizens, to empower our youth, and build a better future for all. Economic Development, Mobility, Climate Change, Social Justice and Gender Equality are my core concerns for our city and our state.
As a Rajya Sabha Member, I have championed social justice and economic empowerment, actively participating in legislative debates and initiatives. As a Bengalurean, I’ve been a vocal advocate for the Suburban Rail (Namma Railu) project to run local trains on existing Indian Railways tracks and the launch of metro feeder buses to ease traffic congestion and improve commuting. My advocacy for critical issues such as public transport and climate action reflects my sincere dedication to the well-being of our constituents. As your representative, I pledge to amplify your voices and work tirelessly towards a brighter future for Bengaluru North.
Hailing from a family of esteemed public servants, including my uncle, Shri MV Krishnappa, and my father, Shri MV Venkatappa, I have inherited a legacy of integrity and commitment to community welfare. We have been creating positive change and I seek your support in continuing this journey. I am contesting elections from this constituency which is so dear to my heart. Together let’s continue to work for progress, empowerment and unity in our beloved city of Bengaluru.

Vision
Our Bengaluru has changed tremendously over the last two decades. On the one hand, the old pleasures of a cycle ride through the city are long gone, but on the other, this is a city fast expanding and brimming with entrepreneurial energy – it is India’s Silicon Valley. I belong to both these Bengalurus. As an old Bengalurean, I want to preserve the gentle culture, heritage, and ‘livability’ of the city that I grew up in.
Bangalore North is the future of our city. Its transformation can only be realised when the Corporators, MLAs, party workers, and citizens are inspired to come together with determination to solve our problems. I have consistently implemented this approach and have witnessed real change. We have inspired people to keep their neighbourhoods. clean. We are working on identifying gaps in urban infrastructure near the Hebbal Flyover and the KR Puram bridge and eliminating garbage black spots and unsafe places for women in the city. As I engage with the local representatives and people to implement solutions, I see that all of us as Bengaluru’s citizens, are willing to come together to make a positive difference in this city.
